Weathering Ike
Here's hoping that Lips and Whits have a safe, dry, powered-up place to hunker down during the storm and that the Houston house is well fortified. No hanging out the window!
Don't call it a comeback . . . .

True that.
Thanks for the shout-out. Luckily, we're able to hang out in Bryan, because the Houston house has no electricity, trees down, and a window broken. We were going back in today, but it's impossible to get in or out of the city because the interstates are rivers. Talk about a persistent storm--even my parents in AR lost power for hours. As Guy says, "and now that bitch is drowning Chicago."
Great to hear you guys are safe and sound, although sorry to hear the house has taken some damage. Hopefully it's minor. Good luck on the trek back in, and keep safe.
Hope that the damage is not too serious.
