Cocaine is only detectable for two to three days after use, so Barry had been partaking a only a couple of days before reporting for what would have been a routine drug test in conjunction with his guilty plea on tax charges. Given his extensive experience with law enforcement, surely he wasn't surprised by the procedure. Needless risk, one might think.
But this is Barry, who after all these years, still hangs out at the aptly named "Players Lounge." His incorrigible defiance does have a kind of charm, but at his age it's also a little sad.
