Don't call it a comeback . . . .
Did I really joke about a "terrorist" non-threat last week? Yesterday, in Dalton, GA, a 78-year old suicide bomber attacked a law firm where one of my old college buddies practices. Glad to see Smalley, who lived across the hall from me junior year and often goes to the NC mountain reunions, is OK. Not everyone got off so lucky. This is just weird. Small town red state America is not so placid a place as we'd imagine.

WTF. Four dead, that's horrible.
Actually, I think that's four injured. The only one killed was the codger-bomber, but one lawyer was seriously injured in the blast. It would have been much worse if he had managed to get his explosive packed SUV into the office while he was ramming it.
One thing interesting about this is the form of the attack. A decade ago, this guy might have gone in with a gun or an assault weapon. But methods once popular one place are contagious.
