SUBJECT: Special Faculty Meeting
A petition signed by at least 10% of the voting members of the Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences has been presented to the dean requesting a special meeting of the faculty. Following the By-laws of the Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences, a special meeting of the faculty is accordingly called.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 2, 11:30-1:00, in the Amasa Stone Chapel. In keeping with the college by-laws, attendance will be limited to only those in the college holding the ranks noted above. A list will be provided at the door. Please bring your Case I.D. to be checked against the list. If possible, arrive 30 minutes early so the meeting can begin on time. The business of the meeting is to consider the following resolution:
"The Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences expresses its lack of confidence in the ability of the President and Provost to effectively lead the university, and recommends that the Board of Trustees take appropriate action based on this vote."
The list of voting members of the college is posted at https://www.case.edu/artsci/dean/restricted/VotingFaculty05-06.pdf
If you intend to vote, you are earnestly advised to satisfy yourself that your name is on this list, or to alert Cynthia Stilwell to the omission. Should a vote take place, ballots will be provided.
